system restore points

System Restore Points

Please excuse me if this issue has already been addressed. I'm having problems cleaning the system restore points. When I do it the way I did in XP, thru disc clean up, the restore points are still there. The only way I've found to clean them out is to disable SR and then restart it and make a new one. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Hi,
When you run disk cleanup, make sure you choose the option to clean "all files on this computer", then you will find system restore on the more options tab.

Thanks for the response, Rick. That's how I've done it and I even get the box that says "are you sure you want to delete all but the most recent restore points", I click yes and my restore points are still there :-( "Rick Rogers" wrote in message

Then you should file a bug on this, Robert - that's what beta's are all about. Make sure to include the steps you used so they can try to reproduce it, as well as the event logs. Be specific on how you are determining the remaining restore points.
